AP Racing is proud to offer placement opportunities to undergraduates who are seeking a year’s industrial experience within a globally recognised company. These placements are to begin in July 2025 (For approximately 13 months) and are as follows:

Role

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, this role is pivotal to the commercial workings of the company to ensure production runs smoothly and economically. The role will provide a vast depth of experience of a purchasing role within the business environment.

• Manage the supply base (UK/Overseas and direct/Indirect) concerning price, terms and conditions.
• Prepare RFQs and assess data on return.
• System data interrogation and validation.
• Project activities for Purchasing as allocated across the department.
• Liaise with stakeholders (Engineer, Finance, Sales) to collect and clarify data to present to purchasing viewpoint.
• Administrative tasks as required to support the Purchasing Manager and the team.
• Monitoring Supplier behavioral changes, assessing potential supply risks.
• Prepare monthly price variance reports to ensure KPI targets are met.
• Complete and maintain accurate and timely documentations.
