AP Racing is proud to offer a Quality/Inspection placement opportunity to undergraduates who are seeking a year’s industrial experience within a globally recognised company. This placement is to begin in July 2025 (For approximately 13 months) and are as follows:

Role

• Supporting the principal inspector and fellow colleagues with workload, aims and visions of the department. Developing a wide range of soft and hard skills, liaising both internally and externally across various departments, and communicating with suppliers.
• Follow procedures to inspect AP Racing products - understanding the history of parts, ensuring correct documentation is in place, checking visually and dimensionally to ensure high quality components are released.
• Will receive training in understanding engineering drawings and use a variety of metrological equipment, whilst being exposed to the full range of AP Racing products, gaining a better understanding of brake and clutch systems.

• Knowledge of small tooling for assembly and manual gauging tools.

• BEng/MEng Automotive/Mechanical/Motorsport/Manufacturing Engineering or similar (On-track for 2:1 or higher, in 2nd or 3rd year of study).
• Willing to learn new skills, good at problem solving and coming up with creative solutions.
• Passion, willing to work proactively and self-motivated.
• Able to work in a team and communicate effectively.
• Applicants must be returning to university to finish their degree after completion of the placement in order to be considered eligible.
• Applicants must ensure that they are eligible to work in the United Kingdom during the placement period as AP Racing does not offer sponsorship.
